Agriculture Economy and Beekeeping

It has a privileged place in agricultural activities and agricultural economy with its features such as beekeeping, its contribution to crop production, its income in a short period of time, its ability to be made with a small capital and not being dependent on land assets.

Beekeeping provides the opportunity to work, income and healthy nutrition to the rural population in the developing countries due to the low operating costs in beekeeping, contributing to the agricultural economy and activities, and less labor force compared to other branches of production, the products can be easily stored and sold at a value price.

Beekeeping history is as old as human history, and in ancient times, bees made honey using tree and rock holes, which they found reliable for them. They met their own needs with the honey formed in these tree and rock cavities in humans.

Today, the rapid progress of technological developments has revealed new production techniques. Honey production, which was obtained only in certain areas in old times, has become a profitable profession today with new techniques and developments.

In addition to honey production in beekeeping, the production of many rich ingredients such as pollen, propolis, beeswax, bee venom and royal jelly also allowed new markets to form. Each product is used in many areas from high nutritional food production to alternative medical applications.

The use of agricultural areas not used in beekeeping as a production area, learning the basis of production information in a short time and easily, and most importantly, starting with a little capital reveals that beekeeping is an agricultural activity with high potential.

Agriculture Economy

75% of the subsidies in the form of the European Union, 25% are covered by the Republic of Turkey. These supports in particular, are provided with unrequited supports, but they are liable and follow-up. These grants can be used free of charge when investments are made in accordance with the conditions. These are not loans, they are entirely grants. However, it is the supports that you are obliged to fulfill the conditions you have submitted to your project for 5 years. These supports are monitored for 5 years.

The supports provided are those that are provided to meet the appropriate criteria in agricultural investments and to realize qualified investments. Therefore, these supports are given to minimize investment costs in order to accelerate the works to be done. Although the rates differ from each other in the supports given to various measures, they are included in the parts of the investor’s obligation. In other words, it would be a big mistake to get into a thought like “can I do it all with support?” In other words, with 0 capital, you can never make an investment with European Union grants. You should have a capital of 30% to 40%, especially in relation to your investment.

It should be emphasized that the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution provides a wide range of support in agricultural activities and agricultural investments. The first of these is the investments related to animal husbandry, especially if we collect them under 3 measure headings. In other words, investments for enterprises producing meat and milk are supported. Meat producing establishments can be listed as poultry and bovine supports as well as poultry. In milk producing establishments, it can be kept within this scope as bovine and ovine.

It can reach up to 70% in case each investor is over 60% of the grant, the geographical location experienced and the investor or the legal entity is under the age of 40. Plus, if solid waste management is carried out at the enterprise, it is possible to get a grant of up to 80%.

and together with the great contribution of the Republic of Turkey in such projects, the investments you have made exempt from KDV are also up to 80% of the investments that have received the grant.
